The image of the rhinoceros comes from the Pearson Scott Foresman image on Wikipedia. I was experimenting with textures again and the use of a bar frame ( I used a 9" by 8" bar frame). I was also using perle thread for the first time (in three shades of grey). I used a little bit of stem stitch but mostly this is split stitch, chain stitch and French knots.

The owl is embroidered onto organza and the image came from 4000 Animal, Bird & Fish Motifs: A Sourcebook by Graham Leslie McCallum.
